The formation of non-religious identities in contemporary England – session in English – 12th of May – 10-12am, Paris time
The sixth session of the seminar on the non-religious will focus on an analysis of non-religious identities and their constitution based on a study of the English case. It will take place on Thursday, May 12, from 10 to 12am, Paris time
Anna Strhan (University of York) will present a paper entitled “the formation of non-religious identities in contemporary England”. Her paper will be discussed by Kristina Kovalskaya (GSRL).
Anna Strhan will focus on how non-religious identities are formed in childhood, on what being non-religious means to children, drawing on ethnographic fieldwork carried out with children in three contrasting geographical areas of England.
